Note:
This vehicle is normally fitted with bulb failure monitoring for which we
recommend wiring the parking sensor kit via a Single Bypass Relay available from
our Accessories section.
The
owner had the following comments regarding the fitting: "Keep
the leads as short as possible. Locate the control box in the passenger side of
the boot away from the battery compartment on the driver’s side of the boot to
avoid the electrical interference from the diagnostic/bi-wire signalling. The
parking unit control unit fits neatly under the storage tray beside the CD
changer. The reversing light power can be picked up where the cable harness from
the boot lid enters the car body just above the battery compartment. The small
switching relay can be located in the battery compartment but the power feed
from this to the parking unit control should be routed separately from the
sensor wiring to avoid false signalling."
